Armes,  Corporal David (Geordie). Served with 8 RTR and 5 RTR, Died 16 June 2011, aged 71.

Bailey, Sergeant George, Served with 142 Regt RAC, 51 RTR, 8 RTR, in N Africa and Italy WW2, 40 RTR and 41 RTR (TA) for 19 years, became an in pensioner at The Royal Hospital in 1999, Died 3 June 2008.

Batty, Sergeant Richard Kenneth (Ken),. Served with  8 RTR during WW11 in Italy, and 1 RTR post war in Germany, Hong Kong and UK. Died 26 May 2012, aged 90.

Bridgewater, Sergeant Thomas Herbert (Tom). Served with 8 RTR, 5 RTR and 9/12L, Died 25 October 2008.

Brookes, John Served with 8 RTR,  Died September 2013 aged 98.

Douglass, Lt Colonel Leslie, Served with 8, 5, 3, 2, RTR until 1976, Died 27 April 2010, aged 85

Eyers, Sergeant George, Served with 8 RTR in WW11, Died 23 April 2010, aged 85.

Fall, Ray. Served with 8 RTR 1947-52. Died 6 May 2008, aged 79

Fishlock, WO2 Roland Frank, Served 1930-1944 with 8th Armoured Car Company in India and 8 RTR during WW2, Died 17 March 1997, aged 87.

Fraser, WO11 James, Marshall, Ralston (Jim) MM BEM . Served with 8 RTR during WW11 was General Montgomery's personal tank driver and gave him his first RTR black beret, served in N Africa India and Korea. Died 21 March 2013 aged 92.

Geeves, Trooper Arthur Frederick Henry (Jock). Served with 8 RTR in WW11. Died 16 March 2010, aged 87.

Hall, James Francis. Served with 8 and 12 RTR during WW11, Died 15 April 2013 aged 89.

Hargreaves, Fred, Served with 57 Trg Regt and 8 RTR Died 31 December 2008 , aged 82

Ingram, Tony. Served with 8 and 12 RTR WW11 Died 13 October 2010 aged 87.

Ironside, Brigadier Hugo Craster Wakeford, OBE. Served with 3, 8 and 5 RTR, (CO of both 8 and 5 RTR (on amalgamation with 8 RTR) and on Staff 1938-65. Died 3 October 2008, aged 90.

Kubicki,  WO2 (SSM) Roman (George). Served with 8 and 5 RTR, Died 21 December 2013 aged 85.

Lisle, Sergeant  Thomas (Tommy). Served with 49 RTR,    8 and  2 RTR, Normandy Veteran, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Died 9  January 2012 aged 90.

Masters, Brigadier John Dexter, served with 41 RTR, 50 RTR WW11, 8 RTR, Commanded 1 RTR 1961-63, Died 3 May 2010, aged 89.

Matthews, Cpl George. Served in the 8 RTR in WW11, badly wounded in Italy, Died 2 April 2010, aged 83.

McManus, Sergeant, Bob, Served with 8 RTR 1938-40, Staffordshire Yeo 1940-45, Died 4 June 2009 aged 90.

Patrick, Major Stanley (Stan). Served with 8, 6 and 3 RTR, Died 2 January 2009, aged 90.

Philpot, Richard Norman. Served with 8 RTR, Died 27 January 2013

Read, Corporal Reg (Mickey), Began with boys service in Bovington 1930, then joined 2 Bn RTC, then 1 Bn RTC and & ACC in India 1935 onwards till WW2, then 8 RTR until captured POW Stalag 4B until 1945, Died 8 December 2008,aged 94.

Roberts, WO2 (SSM) Leslie Frank (Les). Served with 8 and 5 RTR serving in UK and BAOR till 1970, Died 7 July 2011 aged 82.

Sanderson, Herbert (Bert), Served with 8 RTR, was Secretary of the Preston Branch for many years, Died 7 January 2011 aged 79.

Stockley, Sergeant Edmund (Eddie). Served with 8 RTR 1950-55, Died 9 March 2009 aged 80

Wright, Donald Leslie. Served with 8 RTR 1947-50, died 27 October 2009, aged 80.

Waters, Terence (Terry) Served with 8 RTR 1957-59 Warminster, Died April 2013.
